Doctors C. Richard Stasney M.D. F.A.C.S., elected as one of the "Top Doctors in America," is the Director of the Texas Voice Center. He is a clinical associate professor with Baylor College of Medicine and is the consulting physician for the Houston Grand Opera, The Alley Theater, and Theater Under The Stars. Dr. Stasney serves as a board member for The Voice Foundation of America and also serves as an editor for the Journal of Voice. His community involvement includes past service as Chairman of the Board of The Covenant House as well as service on the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners. His research interests include laryngeal reflux and rehabilitation of the paralyzed vocal fold. Some of his contributions to the field of laryngology include development and publication of the Mini-fenestra Gore-Tex thyroplasty technique and refinement of the fat injection laryngoplasty technique. |
